How to train your Dragon.
By CeeDee, Dysart N.S.
The name of this movie is ‘How to train your Dragon’. Dreamworks, the company who produced this movie, have produced many good movies such as “Shrek” and “Flushed Away” and I think this movie is just as good as them.
This movie was directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, I think there was two directors because one was needed to direct the graphics and scenes and the other director was used to create the storyline.
The genre of this movie is a cartoon/comedy. It is also in 3D, now I myself haven’t seen any 3D movies before but I wasn’t scared at all!
Now I would have to recommend this movie to boys and girls over the age of 7 mainly because there was only 2 or 3 scenes out of the movie that were a bit scary, but it is definitely a family movie.
The name of the main character was “Hiccup” a Viking aged between 13 or 14 who’s mother had died when he was younger leaving his father, the Chief Viking, to rear him.
How to train your Pet Dragon is about a young Viking named Hiccup who lived on an island that was always being ransacked by dragons. But then one night when the island is being destroyed by dragons, Hiccup catches a “Nightfury”, a type of dragon, with his wooden contraption of some sort, but he doesn’t have enough courage to kill it so instead he “trains” it because no one knows anything about Nightfury’s.
I definitely liked Dreamworks Dragons! It was absolutely brilliant! And yet it wasn’t actually that scary. If it was up to me I would give this movie 9 out of 10.
Well done Celine, does the animation help create the atmosphere of the story? Does it help to contribute to the comedy? Very good review, Mrs. Daly
