Creating a Story using the IWB

The Three Little Pigs StoryboardOne of our stations is using the IWB. Before the stations our teacher showed us the website from http://www.tes.iboard.co.uk/activity/32427. This is the story of the Three Little Pigs. We worked in groups to make two scenes each from the story. When the bell rang the next group came up and made the next two scenes. At the end we watched the whole story and talked about ways we could improve it. We then printed it into a comic strip and put it in the library.

Look at the storyboard we created.

Fantastic work, kids! Well done. Lucky you to have such a wonderful teacher!

Can imagine the fun the children had creating this story board. Pupils can have true ownership of their work and also everyone can be involved. Some of the writing was a little difficult to read on my screen.

It is clear that the children have great fun here as they are able to add their own little pieces of comedy with both the text and the illustrations

It’s great that the children can work independently from the teacher to create something like this….I’m sure they take much more pride in their work rather than if the teacher were guiding them!!

Great idea illustrating collaborative learning.. Wonderful that they are learning to take responsibility and initiative for their own activities. Really getting a lot from this module.
