The aim of the blog is to create an online community of art teachers to share resources, lesson plans, tips and ideas.
Below I will post articles on the Visual Arts – ideas, resources etc that I come across on the web and develop myself.
Thank you and enjoy the blog!

Hi Kol
Hope you get this message, technophobe that I am. Love the stuff that you have put up, seems familiar! Will be delighted to help out in any capacity. I will contact you through fb to make sure you got this.
Hi Kolin,
I’m a primary school teacher in Dublin and love the Animation projects you have done. I’m going to try your ideas with my class..I will have to adapt them however to suit the age group: 7-9 year olds. I have a built in camera on my laptop, and we have the Clay Animation software in our school so I’ll use that. I have a pretty good camera and a tripod also.
I’ll post the progress to you, I’m sure I’ll have plenty of questions!!
Thanks,
Rosie.
@Rosie
Hi Rosie, fire away with any questions, I look forward to see your progress, maybe the best way to go would be to upload your videos to you tube and I can add the link here, or try adding them here yourself and let me know if it works? I think it might be difficult using the built in web cam but again give it a go and let me know. What is the name of the software you are using? good luck!!
@Andrew davolls
Hi Andy, how are things, yes I owe so much of what I know to you, I look forward to collaborating with you, which projects are you working on?
Hi Colin,
I’m here the blog looks amazing I can only imagine all the work you have done to get to this stage. I will be diving in and out of all your wonderful projects and I will post up some of my lessons. To-day I took a group of Leaving Certificate students to a talk by a great Irish Illustrator Niamh Sharkey in Tallaght library it was inspirational it has made me want to start drawing again, she had all the books she had illustrated and wrote , but to me it was her sketchbooks and her original paintings from the books that were so educational.
You can see her work on http://www.niamhsharkey.com.
Hey Jane thank you, a lot of work done but a lot to do also. Thanks for getting on board with the projects, i hope they help and let me know if you have any questions along the way. I was speaking to Gary Granville today at the NCAD and he mentioned that he knew you and thought it was great we were working together. Funny you mention Niamh Sharkey as colleagues of mine were actually using her books today and were raving how good they were. I have to recommend a friend of mine from Scotland that is also doing very well in a similar field, her books and illustrations are amazing; http://www.catherinerayner.co.uk/
